Moral Turpitude Noun * Conduct that is believed to be contrary to community standards of honesty, good morals, or justice. Origin 15th century Latin turpitudo (“vile” or “base”) A Sweet Remembrance. Today we are back with Lloyd Wilkey. Please go back to the first episode find it here, episode 4. You can find Lloyd on twitter @mindfulpolicing. Lloyd is an activist, human relations trainer focusing on law enforcement, education, business, non-profit. He's a mediator, self-defense coach @ LA Riot Boxing, and he's a singer. We go deeper into the conversation we had with Lloyd previously. We cover: * Unconscious bias/Implicit bias * School to prison pipeline * Policing * Museum of Tolerance and the Sites of Conscience * Moral turpitude, and more Breaking from the norm of using a quote from the episode as a title, we named this episode "A Sweet Remembrance". A nod to Lloyd as he and his family traverse rough waters and to serve as a reminder that he and his wife their progeny are a living legacy. We really enjoyed recording this and think you'll enjoy listening. Join us as we continue the social experiment to find connection and discussion that can lead to meaningful action.
